On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is our distinct honor to welcome you to the 13th World Congress of the International Society for Developmental Origins of Health and Disease (DOHaD), to be held from September 7th to 10th, 2025, in the vibrant city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Our Congress will gather leading basic science researchers, clinical professionals, public health experts, educators, and policymakers from around the world, all dedicated to the pivotal mission of reducing the global burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) throughout the life cycle and into future generations.

Next year’s congress theme, “DOHaD: A Bridge Towards One Health,” highlights the essential interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health. By promoting the convergence of the DOHaD and One Health concepts, we aim to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, encouraging holistic and preventive approaches to health challenges. In addition to exploring these critical intersections, we will engage in important discussions on the impacts of climate change on global health, further emphasizing the urgent need for integrated and sustainable solutions.

Welcome to all health professionals and scientists interested in the early origins of health and disease!

The 2025 meeting of the International DOHaD Society will be held in the beautiful city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The DOHaD Society advocates a healthy start to life through many varied activities, with the international conference being right at the centre of all we do. Come to Argentina in September 2025 to hear the latest DOHaD research, meet the leaders and make new friends and collaborators. The 13th DOHaD World Congress will be held at the Buenos Aires Marriott Hotel, an exceptional venue located in the heart of the city, near iconic landmarks such as the Obelisk and the Colon Theatre. The hotel offers an impressive 24,100 square feet of meeting space spread across 20 rooms, making it well-suited to accommodate a wide range of events. The largest conference room, the Grand Salon Panamericano, can host up to 1,000 guests, making it ideal for keynote sessions. Additionally, the venue includes multiple smaller spaces, like the Rio Parana and Patagonia rooms, which can each accommodate up to 350 seated guests, making them perfect for parallel symposia and joint conferences.
